Dulcie Mills on Publishing!

Debbie De Louise (Dulcie Mills in SL) will present a buzz section on publishing on Tuesday, January 13, at 5:30 PM SLT. Debbie (Dulcie) is a reference librarian at a public library on Long Island and the author of "Cloudy Rainbow," http://www.booklocker.com/books/3754.html, a romance novel featuring a virtual world that she published through Booklocker.com, a POD (Print on Demand) publisher. She will share her experience with and information about POD publishers vs. traditional publishers and then answer any questions the participants may have.

Once Upon a Time: Stories From a Virtual Life and Why They Matter

Join Jenaia Morane - Founder of the Virtual Worlds Story Project (VWSP) - for an entertaining and educational look at the importance of Second Life (SL) stories to our understanding of how virtual reality is affecting and changing our perceptions of ourselves and our world.
To illustrate her points, Jenaia will share a story of her own, then lead participants in a brief writing exercise. Each person will have a chance to experience what it's like to create a simple but effective SL story. Those who are feeling brave can also share the results of their efforts with the rest of the group. A brief question and answer session will follow.

There are also 2 SL conferences coming up -- If you'd like information on volunteering for those, let me know and I'll put in your touch with the requisite powers.
